Please read at home with your child to increase word awareness and confidence. As you read with your child at home, be sure to talk about the books. Discussion increases comprehension and understanding. Chunking word-parts increases word recognition and smoothness in reading.
Remember to point or touch the words only when stuck on a word. That finger can get in the way of smooth reading.
