The annual Lapeer Homecoming events are set to take place in the coming days, starting with the Powderpuff game later today, Sunday, Sept. 13, and wrapping up with the dance on Saturday, Sept. 19.
This year's Homecoming theme is "A Night in Rio."
Powderpuff, featuring junior girls vs. senior girls in a flag football game, will be played at Fitzpatrick Field on the CFI campus. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the game starts at 6 p.m. Tickets need to be purchased online at GoFan for $6. Passes and cash will not be accepted. During the halftime show, foreign exchange students will be introduced and the court for 9th, 10th and 11th grades will be announced.

During the morning of Friday, Sept. 18, the LHS Cross Country teams will participate in the annual Ball Run, going from school to school and across the district with the official game ball for that night's football game.
Also before school Friday, varsity student-athletes from all fall sports will be at the elementary schools and Rolland-Warner for High Five Friday to greet the students as they enter the buildings.
A pep rally will take place Friday, Sept. 18, during sixth hour at LHS. More details on that event will come from LHS staff.
The Homecoming parade is set to start at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18. The parade will be downtown, beginning at the Lapeer Agency at 145 E. Nepessing St. and ending near the Post Office at 567 W. Nepessing St. The band will begin the parade, followed by the Homecoming representatives and many of our sports and clubs.
This year's Homecoming football game will feature Lapeer taking on Carman-Ainsworth, starting at 7:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Field. During halftime, we will announce this year's Homecoming king and queen. Tickets can be purchased using GoFan and credit card at the gate. No cash accepted. Cash or card accepted at the concession stand as well.
Just the main entrance will be used for all football games. The St. Paul entrance will be closed.

The dance is Saturday, Sept. 19, at Lapeer High School. Doors open at 6:30pm and the dance runs from 7:00pm-10:30pm. Tickets can be purchased for $11 apiece via GoFan (access code for students is their student ID) until Sept. 18. No tickets will be sold at the door the night of the dance.
Guest passes for the dance are due Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 2:30 p.m. No exceptions.
